A solar photovoltaic power station with a capacity of 100 MW is being built in Tuproqqal’a.

Public consultations in a school of Tuprakkala district to present the project with the Voltalia’s team members. More than 40 people attended this meeting and asked questions about the importance and the impact of the project.

According to the PF-101 Decree, the project to construct a solar photovoltaic power station with a capacity of 100 MW in Tuproqqal’a district has been determined.

Based on the results of the tenders for domestic investors, the French company “Voltalia SA” was declared the winner, and a contract was signed with “Uzbekistan National Electric Grids” JSC.

Company representatives visited the planned Sarimoy area where the project is to be implemented and met with local residents. During the meeting, information was provided about the environmental impact of the project’s implementation process and future plans.

Solar energy uses the Sun, a renewable energy source, and is “environmentally clean”, meaning it does not emit harmful emissions, does not pollute the atmospheric air, and does not contaminate water compared to “thermal power stations”.
