First Introductory Session on External Grievance Mechanism Held for Local Communities of Nukus and Tuprokkala
A meeting was convened to present and discuss the Non-Technical Summary, the results of the environmental and social impact report, and the Grievance Mechanism with key stakeholders. This meeting was conducted in full compliance with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) standards and the Stakeholder Engagement Plan for the Sarimay Solar PV Project, as part of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) disclosure process.
On May 23, 2024, the first introductory session on the External Grievance Mechanism (EGM) was organized for residents of the local communities within Nukus Makhalla and Tuprokkala District Hokimyat. This session was led by representatives of Voltalia as part of their joint project.
During the presentation, attendees were thoroughly briefed on the key principles and objectives of the External Grievance Mechanism. Detailed explanations were provided on the various methods and channels available for submitting grievances, feedback, or concerns. This mechanism ensures that all stakeholders, especially local communities, are fully informed of their rights to voice concerns and participate in the project’s continuous improvement.
